A garden video you can’t help sending to a friend.
Leach Botanical Garden is a 16-acre sanctuary in Southeast Portland where native plants, historic gardens, and community programming come together. When they needed to drive visibility ahead of one of their busiest weekends of the year, they brought in Human Centric Media to tell that story on video.

Listening Before FilmingBefore shooting, our team spent time understanding what makes Leach special. Our conversations uncovered why this is a community space worth visiting now, which laid the groundwork for what we would shoot and who would appear on camera.
Editing for Depth
Most short-form video advice optimizes for the first three seconds. Human Centric Media takes the opposite approach: we edit for the people who actually stay and take action. The video we produced for Leach held viewers for three times the average watch time across platforms, driving a deeper connection.

A Video People Wanted to Pass Along
This type of place-based, human-centered storytelling travels differently than typical non-profit content. People sent the video to their friends. Within the first 48 hours, 125 people DM’d the video to someone, turning individual viewers into ambassadors for the garden.
“Working with Human Centric Media is a pleasure. Their team has approached all our projects with careful and thoughtful listening, ensuring that outcomes are not only on target, but are also grounded in collaboration. The video and language that they crafted for us helped amplify our story at a critical time for outreach for Leach Botanical Garden.”

As a ResultThree days after the video went live, Leach welcomed an unprecedented number of visitors on Mother’s Day. The video not only stopped the scroll – it inspired people to invite someone else to come along.

Tell a story that people to send to their friends.
A video that drives people to action doesn’t have to be a heavy lift. It took one hour of shooting and a week to turn around a video for Leach that people couldn’t help sharing with their friends. Let’s talk about how we can do something similar for you.
