WeBike ain’t new in this town. A program of The Street Trust, they’ve been creating opportunities for women, trans, Two Spirit and gender non-conforming people to bike in community for ten years now.
From rides around the city to overnight camping trips, it was clear at their anniversary party that these relationships are longstanding .. and that it’s a community built on trust.
That’s a smart way to make change, if you ask me – follow the joy. The best things about systems built to bring people together are the good feeling and expansive company. That’s how we grow together!
WeBike’s Program Director Madi Carlson absolutely beams this kind of energy.
“It’s just so life-changing to do something big and then apply it to things that are small,” she said, noting that they often grant Portlanders their first opportunity to put a bike on public transportation.
Working with The Street Trust, I’ve learned that to build a multimodal transportation system that works, you have to meet people where they’re at. And people have different needs!
You have to lead with curiosity.
And that’s exactly what it takes to build trust with an audience: you have to be vulnerable, open to learn, and above everything else CONSISTENT.
Events like anniversary parties, company retreats and fundraising galas are a GOLDEN opportunity to document the real impact of your work: rewarding relationships. The type that light up a room for years.
So we developed our Signature Event Suite ($4K), a wraparound photo and video storytelling solution to ensure that all the warmth and excitement you generate reverberates .. and reverberates .. that echo.
I’m so excited about the partners Human Centric Media is working with this year because we share an ethos: that the people we surround ourselves with are remarkable, and worth telling stories about.
