In the heat of the summer, Human Centric Media joined forces with The Willamette Week to create original event media of MOAN ZONE, a regular dance party and kink event in downtown Portland.
Something I really like about working lifestyle events like this is how welcoming people are — folks recognize that you might be new to the scene or not a regular and go out of their way to show you around, or flash a friendly smile.
Portland is such a wonderful town for expanding your horizons and meeting your people. At the Star Theater that night, there were kink demonstrations, go go dancers, the sounds of DJ Pains Grey plus handsome people coming together to dance and let their freak flag fly.
Nothing fills my heart up like people getting to be themselves, exuberantly and without fear. It's a credit to the event organizers that the camaraderie in the room was palpable that night, and I'm so glad I got to capture the moment for the local alternative weekly.
